Quelques considérations d'esthétique...
"[...] A ce moment on est forcément défait et perplexe. La sauvagerie et le chaos ont triomphé au fur et à mesure de la descente du regard et on est en bas de la scène. On cherche à retrouver du sens.
Et tout d’un coup du sens revient, un sens purement esthétique. On en est frappé : les restes embrouillés du lapin, à terre, rappellent par leurs valeurs et motifs les tonalités de la robe de la femme. La fourrure du chat, penchée sur ce désordre et plus ordonnée, rappelle la coiffure de la femme. Nous avons un écho entre deux systèmes graphiques qui se répondent : la robe et la coiffure de la femme, d’un côté, les restes du lapin la fourrure du chat de l’autre.
Hypothèse donc : la femme est un système à créer de la sauvagerie. [...]"

Some considerations of aesthetics...
" [...] at this moment we are necessarily undone and perplexed. The savagery and the chaos triumphed according to the descent of the glance and we are at the bottom of the scene. We try to find again the sense.
And suddenly some sense comes back, a purely aesthetic sense. We are struck: the rests muddled up by the rabbit, on the ground, remind by their values and motives the tones of the dress of the woman. The fur of the cat, tilted on this disorder and more ordered, reminds the hairstyle of the woman. We have an echo between two graphic systems which answer: the dress and the hairstyle of the woman, on one side, the rests of the rabbit the fur of the cat of the other one.
Hypothesis thus: the woman is a system to create the savagery. [...] "
